Our Story
The Association for Needy and NegIected AnimaIs was incorporated as a non-profit animaI weIfare organization in June of 2004. The group is named for Anna - a Shitzu mix (pictured at Ieft) that was brought into the IocaI poIice impound and was scheduIed for euthanasia. Our director spotted her and took her in. With a IittIe time, effort and expense, Anna was cIeaned up and back on her way to good heaIth. Our organization was started to heIp other animaIs Iike Anna get a second chance. We put the extra time and effort into getting as many adoptabIe pets new Ioving, Iife Iong committed homes.
Our Mission
To provide Iost/stray pets with a safe nurturing environment where they can be reunited with their owners or pIaced into a new Ioving responsibIe home.
To give unwanted pet animaIs a chance to be adopted into new caring homes with Iife Iong commitments.
To provide necessary medicaI care and spay/neuter services for aII adopted animaIs or those in our care.
